JACKfm is celebrating again after receiving 5 award nominations for this year’s Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards.

Already the most awarded local commercial radio station in the UK, the small but perfectly formed team has today received nominations for Station of the Year, with Trevor and Caroline also being nominated for Presenters of the Year for the 2nd year in a row having won this accolade in 2015. In addition JACKfm is up for Best Feature for the controversial ’30 Nights of Nookie’, which saw two listeners get down and dirty every day for a month and then Trevor and Caroline having to come up with pre-watershed ways of discussing the topic! On top of all this, JACKfm is also in the running for ‘Station Imaging Award’ (the stuff that goes in between the songs) and university graduate Giles Gear is up for the Unsung Hero of the Year Award.

It comes off the back of the latest RAJAR release which showed 123,000* people are tuning into the stations each week – the highest listening figure in the station’s history.

Programme Director Tim Parker said: “Today is a great day for the JACK brand as we celebrate the work that comes out of our tiny Dumpy Building as well as 2 nominations gained for 107 JACKfm Berkshire. We’ve seen listener loyalty build across Oxfordshire for both JACKfm and JACK2 and it’s brilliant to see the industry recognising our efforts as well. We’ve got great plans for the JACK brand and look forward to even bigger and better things in the months ahead.”
